Dr. Paulo Santos (CRMESP 33269) is an orthopaedist who trained in orthopaedics and traumatology at Escola Paulista de Medicina and holds a doctorate in sciences from UNIFESP. He has used shockwave therapy since 2000, after certifying in Vienna with Dr. Wolfgang Schaden and in Berlin with Dr. Richard Thiele.
He is the ISMST Ambassador and Instructor in Brazil, a member of the shockwave group at CETE-UNIFESP, and a professor on the postgraduate pain course at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.
